The US Chapter

Blue-tongue skinks at USBlueTongue

It started with studying the best.

Australia is where blue-tongue breeding was perfected. Breeders like Joe Ball set a standard the rest of the world is still chasing — decades of selective work, deep knowledge of the animals, zero shortcuts.

Here's the honest truth: the US doesn't have genetics like this. So we imported the parents — captive-bred stock from top bloodlines, not wild-caught. The babies are born and raised here, in our rack, one tub at a time.

That's what we're building with — Northern and Eastern blue-tongues plus shinglebacks. Every animal housed individually, fed well, and known by name. And where we're headed: high-end morph work in the Whiteside, Lava, and Melanistic direction.

How we breed

No hype. Just the work.

Selective pairings

Every pairing is deliberate. We breed toward a goal — darker, cleaner, more contrast — not just because two animals were available. If a pairing doesn't move the project forward, it doesn't happen.

Honest records

Lineage, weights, feeding history — documented from birth. You'll know exactly what you're getting, and we'll tell you what we don't know yet. That's the deal.

Animals we'd keep

Simple rule: if we wouldn't hold it back for our own projects, we don't sell it as a project animal. Health and temperament come before everything.

We share the process, not just the product. Pairings, gravid females, fresh litters, feeding milestones — it all goes up on our Instagram @morphselect.

Follow along and you'll know our animals before you ever buy one.
